Weight and balance control consists of mathematical proof of the correct weight, balance, and loading within specified limits. These limits are set forth in the specifications for a particular aircraft. The removal or addition of equipment changes the aircraft empty weight and the CG. The useful load is affected accordingly. The effects these changes produce on the balance of an aircraft must be investigated to determine the effect on the flight characteristics of the aircraft.
