AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must provide prior notice to the Ministere des Transports, De L'Equipement Et Des Communications Direction Generale de L'Aviation Civil, B.P. 1158, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (AFTN: DFFVYAYX, FAX (226) 31 10 08, TELEX: SEGEGOUV 55555 BF) THREE DAYS PRIOR NOTICE IS REQUIRED. All notifications must include:

a. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

b. Radio call or flight number;

c. Name and address of aircraft operator;

d. If charter, owner of aircraft;

e. Name and nationality of pilot and number and nationalities of crew;

f. Complete route of flight;

g. Number of passengers and type and amount of cargo; and

h. Purpose of flight. In addition, a flight plan must be on file at least 24 hours prior to departure.

NOTE-
Nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must also obtain, in advance, a temporary operating clearance, in addition to the above notification requirements, from the Ministere Des Transports, De L' Equipement Et Des Communication.

Permission will not be granted for aircraft to enter Burkina Faso from South Africa, or to leave Burkina Faso for South Africa.
