PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Required.

VISA: Required. Airport visas are available ONLY (repeat ONLY) for persons arriving from a country which does not have Cameroonian diplomatic representation and who has not recently been in a country which has Cameroonian representation.

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for all travelers. The

U.S. Public Health Service advises that a malaria risk exists throughout the country.

OTHER: Holders of tourist and temporary visas must have possession of onward tickets or proof of means to depart Cameroon.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must request prior permission from the Minister of External Relations (TELEX 8252KN) and from the Director of Civil Aviation (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AEROCIVILE YAOUNDE/TELEX: 8214KN, ICAO ADDRESS: FKKYYA), both in Yaounde, Cameroon, at least 10 working days prior to departure. It is advisable, if possible, to provide itinerary earlier. Clearance will not be granted more than 48-24 hours before the requested overflight and/or landing. Requestor should follow up directly with Civil Aviation no earlier than 72 hours before planned overflight. All requests must be submitted in duplicate and all approvals must have the concurrence of the Ministry of External Relations. All requests must be copied to the Economic Office, U.S. Embassy, Yaounde, Cameroon (TELEX: 8223KN), but the Embassy cannot assist unless the above procedures have been complied with.

2. All applications must include:

a. Type of aircraft;

b. Registration of aircraft;

c. Name of pilot;

d. Number of crew;

e. Number of passengers;

f. Origin of aircraft;

g. Destination of aircraft;

h. Airport of stopover;

i. Airport of exit;

j. Nature of cargo;

k. Date of entry and departure;

l. Purpose of visit; and

m. Services required.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

Cabotage of corporate personnel only is permitted. Overflights and landing of flights to/from South Africa prohibited. No other constraints reported.

SPECIAL NOTICES

No application for an aircraft originating from or registered in South Africa is accepted in Cameroon.
