HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for travelers arriving from infected areas. The U.S. Public Health Service reports that a malaria threat exists below 1,000 meters in all parts of the country.

OTHER: Authorities may require to see return ticket or other proof of intention to depart Gabon. Proof of ability to finance lodging in Gabon may also be required.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial flights overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Direction General de L'Aeronautique Civile, B.P. No. 2212, Libreville, Gabon (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: NONE/TELEX: NONE) at least 5 days prior to departure.

2. Requests must include:

a. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

b. Date and time of entry into the airspace of Gabon;

c. Complete route of flight;

d. Dates, times and airports of arrival and departure;

e. Purpose of flight;

f. Name of aircraft operator;

g. Names and nationalities of pilot, crew and passengers; and

h. Type and amount of cargo.
