PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
PASSPORT: Required
VISA: Not required for stays up to 30 days.
HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for travelers arriving from infected areas. The U.S. Public Health Service reports that a malaria risk exists in all areas of the country below 300 meters.
OTHER: Proof of citizenship, i.e., birth certificate, is sufficient for stays up to a maximum of 30 days. Crew members of private planes require no documentation as long as the plane remains in Haiti.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Private Flights - Private flights to Haiti must notify the Office National De L'Aviation Civile twenty-four hours in advance with the following information:
a. Pilots name;
b. Type of aircraft and registration marks;
c. Total number of people on board;
d. Airport of departure; and
e. Date and estimated time of arrival.
NOTE-
This notification must be followed by a flight plan before take-off.
2. Nonscheduled Flights - An operator private who intends to make one or a series of nonscheduled flights into Haiti for commercial purposes should apply to the the Office of Civil Aviation at least forty-eight hours in advance of the intended landing. The application for permission must include the following information:
a. Name of operator;
b. Type of aircraft and registration marks;
c. Date and time of arrival/departure;
d. Place or places of embarkation/disembarkation of passengers and/or freight;
e. Purpose of flight and number of passengers and/or nature and amount of freight;
f. Name, address and business of charterer, if any.

NOTE-
An operator who intends to carry out one or a series of nonscheduled flights in transit
through, or making non-traffic stops in the territory of Haiti may do so without obtaining
permission.

SPECIAL NOTICES
1. Flights across the Haitian-Dominican border must cross at altitude of 10,000 ft. or above. Flights below this altitude should avoid the border by flying route B-20.
2. The United States, implementing U.N. and O.A.S. resolutions, has adopted economic sanctions against Haiti. Most commercial trade other than humanitarian and basic food items is currently prohibited and sanctions may be expanded to limit certain types of flights to and from Haiti. U.N. sanctions on petroleum imports currently in force limit the availability of aviation fuels in Haiti.
