AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes must give prior notification to the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) P.O.. Box 30145, Tegucigalpa, D.C., Honduras, C.A. (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: DIRGA TEGUCIGALPA/TELEX: 1523 DGAC HO/TELEFAX: 333683). All notifications (described below) must be made within 24 hours or more prior to entry, except for aircraft with Nicaraguan registration, which must give 72 hours advance notification prior to entry. The DGAC will not respond to these notifications unless clearance has been denied. Upon arrival, pilot in command must hold with him a copy of the message containing the following advance notification information:

a. Person or entity who requested permission;

b. Make, type and aircraft registration;

c. Airport of entry to Honduran territory;

d. Pilot and co-pilot names and their nationality;

e. Number and names of passengers and their nationality;

f. Place of departure;

g. Character of flight;

h. Proposed arrival date;

i. Proposed departure date; and

j. Solicitors addressee and telephone number. For all notifications made to the DGAC by telephone, the pilot must include the name and/or position of the official who received the advance notification.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

Must have permission from Customs and Internal Revenue Service to remain or fly within country beyond 10 days. No other constraints reported.

SPECIAL NOTICES

The operational hours for all international airports, Tegucigalpa/Tonconti, San Pedro Sula/La Mesa,

La Ceiba/Goloson and Roatan are 1200-2400 UTC.
