HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for travelers arriving from infected areas and also for travelers arriving from Panama and all countries in Africa and South America, any part of which lies between 15 degrees North Latitude and 10 degrees South Latitude. The U.S. Public Health Service reports that a malaria risk exists in most of the country below 1,500 meters from July through November.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Civil Aviation Organization, P.O. Box 3227, Mehrabad International Airport, Tehran, Iran (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR TEHRAN/TELEX: 213889 EPDIR) at least 24 hours prior to departure (7 days if landing for commercial purposes). All requests must include:

a. Name of operator;

b. Aircraft type, nationality and registration marks;

c. Route of flight including dates and times of entry and exit from Iranian airspace;

d. Dates, times and airports of arrival and departure, if landing;

e. Alternative airports;

f. Number of passengers and places of embarkation or disembarkation;

g. Type, amount, origin and destination of cargo and name of consignor and consignee in Iran;

h. Name, address and business of charterer; and

i. Purpose of flight.
