AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Private and nonscheduled commercial flights overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior permission; however, a flight plan must be on file.

2. Nonscheduled commercial flights landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Director of Civil Aviation, P.O. Box 487, Betio, Tarawa, Kiribati far enough in advance of flight to insure reply prior to departure. Director of Civil Aviation, P.O. Box 487, Betio, Tarawa. Kiribati.

3. All requests must include:

a. Name and address of applicant;

b. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

c. Date and times of arrival at and departure from aerodromes in the Kiribati;

d. Places of embarkation or disembarkation of passengers and cargo;

e. Purpose of flight;

f. Number of passengers and type and amount of cargo; and

g. Name, address and business of charterer, if any.

Commanders of aircraft intending to fly into or out of the Kiribati are advised to make early notification to permit radio navigation aids to be operating for the proposed flight.
