AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Private and nonscheduled commercial flights overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission, must file a flight plan and must give advance notification to Direction De L'Aviation Civile, S/C Minister De L'Equipment and Transports, Noukachott, Islamic Republic of Mauritanie (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: GKNN/TELEX: NONE) at least 15 days in advance of departure.

2. All nonscheduled commercial charter and air travel club flights landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the agency listed above at least 10 days in advance. All overflights must file a flight plan and give advance notification.

3. All requests must include:

a. Name of operator;

b. Flight number, if any;

c. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

d. Date, time, and complete route of flight from point of origin, including intermediate flights;

e. Fuel type and amount, and other services required, if landing;

f. Purpose of flight;

g. Number of passengers, their point of destination and purpose of trip, such as tourism, business, etc.;

h. Type, amount, and origin of cargo, if applicable; and

i. Representative or contact in Mauritania, and origin/destination of cargo loaded/unloaded in Mauritania, if applicable.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

No internal constraints reported. Flights to/from Israel and South Africa are prohibited.

SPECIAL NOTICES

Restrictions are placed on aircraft arriving from or destined to the countries of Israel or South Africa.
