AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes must provide prior notification to the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil, Ministerio de Defensa, Avenida Mariscal Lopez y Vice-Presidente Sanchez, Asunction, Paraguay (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AEROCIVIL ASUNCION/TELEX: 629 PY MDN) at least 24 hours prior to departure.
2. Notification must include:
a. Type of aircraft, nationality and registration marks;
b. Purpose of flight;
c. Name of pilot;
d. Number of passengers;
e. Airport of departure and final destination;
f. Dates and times of arrival and departure in Paraguay, if landing;
g. Dates, times of entry and exit from the airspace of Paraguay, if overflying; and
h. Radio equipment and frequencies available.
3. Nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil prior to departure. Requests should include the above information and all other pertinent information concerning the commercial nature of the flight and should be submitted far enough in advance to insure receipt of flight permission before departure.

Cabotage requires permission of General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
SPECIAL NOTICES
To guard against possible delays in the event that the required notification message is not received, it is recommended that a copy of the message endorsed by the telegraph company be carried by the pilot to prove that the message was sent. It is further recommended that immediately upon arrival the pilot check with the addressee to ascertain whether the message was received. In the event of nonreceipt steps may then be taken immediately to avoid a delay upon attempt to depart.
