PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: This subheading covers passport requirements of the listed country for U.S. citizens.

VISA: This subheading covers visa requirements of the listed country for U.S. citizens.

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: This subheading combines information received from the listed country, the World Health Organization, and the U.S. Public Health Service.

OTHER: This subheading lists extra requirements that must be met by U.S. citizens visiting the listed country.

EMBASSY INFORMATION

LISTED COUNTRY'S EMBASSY IN THE UNITED STATES

This subheading provides address and telephone information for the listed country's embassy in the United States. If an embassy does not exist in the U.S., an alternate point of contact will be listed if one exists.

UNITED STATES EMBASSY IN LISTED COUNTRY

This subheading lists address, telephone number, telex, and public hours for the U.S. embassy in the listed country. If no embassy exists, an alternate contact will be provided.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This subheading gives criteria for obtaining proper permission from the listed nation to transit and/or land. This information is intended for use by private pilots of private aircraft.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

This subheading showcases any additional entry requirements enforced by the listed nation for corporate aircraft. This information is received from American embassies abroad which have consulted with the relevant civil aviation authorities in the countries concerned. The notation "None reported" means only that the embassies reported no problems peculiar to corporate aviation, such as prohibitions on Cabotage or special customs requirements.

Note-
Cabotage is defined here as a nonremunerated, not-for-hire flight between two points within a foreign country, carrying residents whose travel begins and ends in that country. Cabotage in the traditional sense, i.e., for hire, is almost universally prohibited.

This subheading features any additional requirement(s) of the listed nation which does not fit under the preceding topical headings.

AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SOURCE

The name of the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) upon which the information for this country is based.

INTERNATIONAL NOTAM OFFICE

The name and Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunications Network (AFTN) location identifier and distribution code (YN for NOTAM Office; YA for aeronautical authority) of the office responsible for the issuance of teletypewriter NOTAMS (Class I) for the country. (See section International NOTAM Availability and Distribution.)

Closed to private aircraft. In addition, must provide 72 hours prior notice of arrival. Fuel available on 24 hours prior approval only. 

(1) The DOD en route supplement name, chart number, low and high altitude, as available, which provide coverage of this country. (See section Charts and Publications for Flights Outside the U.S.)

(2) City and Aerodrome name: When the city and aerodrome names are the same, the aerodrome name is omitted.

(3) The international AFTN location identifier for the aerodrome. Identifiers followed by an asterisk (*) indicate that the aerodrome is not connected to the AFTN.

(4) The officially assigned, and published, commercial telegraphic address for the aerodrome administrator. This address may be used to obtain or to forward information directly to the responsible aerodrome authority. If no address is assigned, the word "NONE" will appear in this position.

(5) The TELEX number of the aerodrome administrator. This method, when available, may be used in lieu of commercial telegraph to obtain or forward information directly to the responsible aerodrome authority. If no telex connection is available to the aerodrome authority, the words "No Telex" will appear in this position.

(6) Aerodrome coordinates given in the nearest degrees and minutes of latitude and longitude.

(7) Longest runway given in the nearest hundreds of feet (i.e., 100 equals 10,000 feet). Runway lengths prefixed with an "H" indicate that the runway is hard surfaced (concrete, asphalt, bitumen or macadam with a sealed coat). Absence of the prefix indicates that the runway surface is sod, clay, gravel, etc.

(8) Field lighting available: Field lighting is indicated by the letter "L" followed by one of the following number codes to indicate the type of lighting available.

1. Portable runway lights (electrical).

2. Boundary lights.

3. Runway flood lights.

4. Low intensity runway lights.

5. Low intensity approach lights.

6. High intensity runway lights.

7. High intensity approach lights.

8. Sequenced flashing lights.

9. Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI).

10. Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI).

Note-
An asterisk (*) preceding the element (*L4) indicates that the lighting is available on prior request only (by phone call, telegram, etc.).

Note-
An "L" by itself indicates temporary lighting such as flare pots. Generally, only the highest order of lighting for the primary runway will be shown.

(9) Fuel availability: Fuel availability of other than 100 octane and 100 octane with low lead content (1OOLL) is not cited. Jet fuels, when available, are indicated as:

JA - Jet fuel ASTM type A.

JA1 - Jet fuel ASTM type A1 with additives and icing inhibitor.

JA2 - Jet fuel ASTM type A1 with additives but without icing inhibitor.

JX - Jet fuel type unknown.

UNKN - Fuel type unknown.

(10) Remarks describing pertinent aerodrome conditions or availability of necessary services which may not be readily obtainable in other sources. Customs information carried in the airport remarks will be encoded as follows:

Customs-24 - Customs available 24 hours a day.

Customs-240R - Customs available 24 hours a day on request only.

Customs-PT - Customs provided less than 24 hours a day.

Customs-PTOR - Customs provided less than 24 hours a day on request only.

Customs-FREE - Customs not required.

Note-
When available, aircraft type or size/weight constraints will be included in the airport remarks. Weights will usually be expressed in terms of PCN or thousands of pounds. When specific weight bearing capacities are not available, the WGT CAT will be expressed in terms of the largest (heaviest) aircraft that can be accommodated. (Sample: "WGT CAT-B-747" means aircraft categories up to B-747s can be accommodated.)
