AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Private aircraft overflying or landing and nonscheduled commercial flights overflying Tunisian airspace is strictly prohibited to all aircraft unless the following three conditions are met:
a. The flight plan was explicitly approved in advance by the Tunisian air traffic control units or by
National Defense.
b. Strict respect for the approved route and wstrmates unless otherwise instructed, or by prior agreement with
air traffic control.
c. Flight inside controlled airspace and on ATS routes or on the routes prescribed or authorized by air traffic control.
2. In addition, overflight of Carthage prohibited area DTP6 shall be made at FL60 or above.
3. Nonscheduled commercial flights, including air travel club flights landing for noncommercial purposes, must obtain prior permission from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications at least three working days prior to departure.
4. Nonscheduled commercial flights landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Civil Aviation Office, 1 Rue d'Athenes, Tunis 1000, Tunisia (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR TUNIS/TELEX: CIVIAC 13545) at least 10 days prior to departure. All requests must include:
a. Nationality;
b. Purpose of the flight;
c. Aircraft type/registration marks;
d. Airport of departure and intermediate stops;
e. Airport of destination;
f. Date/time of arrival in and departure from Tunisia;
g. Return trip (if applicable), date/time of arrival in and departure from Tunisia;
h. Requested period of clearance validity (24-48-72 hours); and
i. Additional information (as deemed useful).
CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS
No internal constraints, but flights directly to/from Israel or South Africa are generally prohibited.
