AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Ministry of Communications, Department of Civil Aviation, Ulastirma Bakanligi, Sivil Havacilik Genel Mudurlugu, Istasyon, Ankara, Turkey (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR- ANKAR/TELEX: 42220 CAD TR) at least 5 working days before the date of each flight.
2. All requests must include:
a. Nationality of the aircraft;
b. Type of aircraft;
c. Aircraft registration number;
d. Radio call sign;
e. Flight number;
f. Captain's name and number of crew members;
g. Destination and the air routes which the aircraft will follow;
h. Purpose of flight;
i. Points of entry into and exit from Turkish airspace and the dates and estimated times of arrival and departure for those points;
j. If the aircraft will land in Turkey, the name of the airport and the date and estimated time of arrival and departure for this airport; if any ground handling facilities are required they must be stated in the request;
k. Number of passengers, including names, ranks and titles of any VIP passengers; and
l. Cargo, including an explicit indication of whether or not the aircraft contains any hazardous material, munitions of war, or any other explosive substance or any optical or electronic warfare equipment.

SPECIAL NOTICES
1. Aircraft landing in Turkish territory without having obtained prior approval will be detained at the airport of first landing and the provisions of existing regulations shall be applied.
2. In the case of transit flights without permission over Turkish territory, military authorities may take whatever action they deem appropriate.
3. If the permission granted for an overflight is not utilized on the date for which it was granted (valid for 24 hours), a new permit must be obtained.
