PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Not required for U.S. citizens holding proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate, expired passport (if photograph still clearly resembles the bearer), U.S. naturalization certificate. Aliens who are permanent

U.S. residents must have their U.S. alien registration card to return to the U.S.

A driver's license or voter's registration will not suffice as identification.

VISA: Not required

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for travelers arriving from infected areas.

OTHER: Landing cards, round trip tickets, onward tickets or other proof of means of departure are required by all passengers entering the Bahamas.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

a. Private aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior permission; however, prior notification is required to the airport of arrival and a flight plan must be on file. Permission must be obtained from the Ministry of Transport for obtaining overflight and landing rights for non-scheduled commercial aircraft.

b. Nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Secretary, Air Transport Licensing Authority, P. O. Box N975, Nassau N.P., Bahamas (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CADAIR BAHAMAS/TELEX: NONE) prior to departure in addition to having a flight plan on file.

SPECIAL NOTICES

1. Flights made between sunset and sunrise must be conducted under instrument flight rules. With the exceptions of Nassau International, Freeport International Rock Sound Airports, no aircraft will be permitted to land or take-off at any location in the Bahamas between sunset and sunrise without prior approval from the Director of

Civil Aviation.

2. New Providence-Nassau: Amphibious aircraft arriving on international flights landing at the Nassau Marine Base must land first at Nassau International Airport for customs and immigration clearance.

3. Before turning onto final approach and before taxiing out for take-off it is recommended that pilots announce their identification, location and intention on 122.8 MHz at uncontrolled airports. Arriving aircraft should fly over strip at 1,000 feet to observe other traffic and fly a left traffic pattern.

4. Flights From Bahamas To Florida: Pilots must comply with FAR Part 99 Security Control of Air Traffic.
