PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Required

VISA: Not required for stay up to 90 days.

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required of all travelers going to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia or who are departing for countries with infected areas. Furthermore, vaccination certificates are required for any traveler arriving from a country, any part of which is infected. The U.S. Public Health Service advises that malaria (including chloroquine resistant P.Falciparum) exists throughout the country below 2,000 meters, except that the provinces of La Paz, Oruro, and Potosi are not infected.

OTHER: All persons entering, except as tourist, must present a letter of recommendation from a bank or from the firm they represent, stating occupation, purpose of visit, length of stay and financial responsibility.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial flights overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission at least two working days (Monday thru Friday) prior to departure from the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil, Edificio de las Comunicaciones, Piso 4o., Av. Mariscal Santa Cruz No. 1278, P.O. Box 9360 La Paz, Bolivia AFTN: SLLPYAYX. FAX: (591) 2 391370, (591) 2 310659, SITA: LPBTOCR, E mail: dgaccair@ caoba, enteinet.bo. All requests must include provision for prepaid reply.

All requests must include:

a. Name, titles and citizenship of crew members;

b. Name, address and citizenship of aircraft operator;

c. Names and citizenship of passengers;

d. Purpose of flight (tourist, business, etc.);

e. Manufacturer and type of aircraft and registration marks;

f. Route of flight dates, times and airport of international entry, stopovers and departure;

g. Point of origin and final destination;

h. Clear indication of airports of entry and final departure;

i. Type, amount and value of cargo and value of transportation charges; and

j. Consignee of cargo.

SPECIAL NOTICES

1. Any foreign aircraft authorized to fly into and land at one or more points in the country may not engage in commercial movement (Cabotage) of either merchandise or passengers between points in Bolivia.

2. Entry into or departure from the Territory of Bolivia shall be made only by way of published airways or corridors and shall cross the border only at points authorized.
