PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Required

VISA: All foreign nationals except the USA, United Kingdom of Great Britain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, and Switzerland with a specific number of days allowed are required to obtain visa to enter Brunei Darussalam. However, those countries exempted must posses the following documents upon arrival in Brunei Darussalam:

a. A valid passport;

b. Confirmed onward/return tickets to their countries of origin.;

c. Sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay in Brunei Darussalam; and

d. They must be legally entitled to return to their countries of origin.

Asean nationals (Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand) intending to stay less than two weeks in Brunei Darussalam are not required to obtain visa to enter Brunei Darussalam. However, they must posses valid passport, confirmed onward or returned tickets as well as sufficient funds to support themselves during this stay in Brunei Darussalam.

Visa application forms are obtainable free from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Washington, DC and the Permanent Mission of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in New York City.

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for visitors over one year of age coming from infected areas.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior permission but must have a flight plan on file with Brunei Aeronautical Information Center (WBSBZPZX). If received at least two hours in advance of aircraft's departure, will be accepted as advance notification.

2. All nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must have prior written permission on board from the Director of Civil Aviation, Department of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Communications, Brunei International Airport, Brunei Darussalem 2015. TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVAIR BRUNEI/TELEX:

BU 2267 (Answer back: DCA BU) or 2571 (Answer back: RTT BU), and TELEFAX NR. 673-2-331706, must reach the Director two (2) weeks prior to expected departure and must include prepayment for telegraphic reply. All requests must include:

a. Aircraft type and registration marks;

b. Name, nationality and address of operator and owner;

c. Name of pilot and number of crew;

d. Purpose of flight;

e. Dates and times of arrival, stopover and departure;

f. Route of flight;

g. Nature, weight and dimensions of cargo;

h. Number of passengers, including points of origin and destination and whether passengers are traveling in groups or singly;

i. Details of passenger fares or charter rates;

j. Name, address and telephone number of agent in Brunei;

k. Name, address and business of charterer, if any; and

l. Weather minima for take-off and landing including any instructions given by the aircraft operator relating to such weather conditions.
