SPECIAL NOTICES

All information submitted must be in the French language. Pilots should confirm fuel availability at Chad's airports prior to their departure since fuel quantities on hand can vary greatly, especially at facilities outside N'Djamena.

Although active hostilities with Libya have ceased, incidents between Chadian and Libyan military forces in northern Chad do occur. NOTAMS should be checked carefully and flight plans should not cross 13 00N latitude without prior coordination with the Government of Chad. In addition, Chad has established restricted airspace from 10 40N/15 05E on an arc to 12 37N/16 16E and on a line to 13 43N/22 07E. All areas north of this boundary are a restricted zone. Entry is subject to prior N'Djamena control authorization on 119.7MHz or alternate 118.1MHz. All unauthorized aircraft will be forced to land at N'Djamena. It is strongly advised that crews of aircraft flying within a sector less than 80 NM to the North, if equipped with SSR transponder should display code A2000.
