PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Required

VISA: Required except for nationals of countries which have been exempted from visa requirements and from

U.S. nationals. Nationals of countries that are exempted from visa requirements are issue visitor permits at the airport of entry and are valid for up to one month.

HEALTH & VACCINATION: Yellow Fever and Cholera Vaccination certificates are required for all travelers arriving from infected areas.

OTHER: Traveler must show means of return transportation and sufficient funds to pay expenses during stay to

be admitted.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes must submit prior notification to the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji, Private Bag, Nadi Airport, Fiji (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR NADI/TELEX: FJ 5299 CAAF) at least 48 hours prior to departure. All requests must include:

a. Aircraft type and registration marks;

b. Pilots name;

c. Purpose of flight;

d. Origin, destination and stops in Fiji;

e. Date and time of arrival and departure;

f. Number of passengers;

g. Aircraft take-off weight and tire pressure; and

h. Survival equipment carried on board.

2. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission, by mail, from the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office and Civil Aviation, P.O. Box 2220, Suva, Fiji, or by cable FOSEC: Suva, Fiji or by TELEX: FJ2l67 FOSEC. Include:

a. Aircraft type and registration marks;

b. Operator's name and address;

c. Charterer's name and address;

d. Name of agent in Fiji;

e. Purpose of flight;

f. Type and amount of cargo to be set down and picked up;

g. Number of passengers;

h. Proposed fares for passengers originating in Fiji;

i. Date and time of arrival and departure;

j. Aircraft take-off weight and tire pressure; and

k. Details of third party insurance coverage for the part of the flight within the territory of Fiji.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

No constraints reported on cabotage, but must have prior permission of Prime Minister's Office and Civil Aviation operations based in Fiji.

SPECIAL NOTICES

1. Aircraft inbound to Fiji from malarial areas are prohibited from using Nausori Airport.

2. Parking facilities and handling by customs and immigration at (Suva) Nausori Airport are limited. Failure to submit advance notification may cause considerable delays or denial of arrival authorization. Nonscheduled public transport flights will not normally be permitted arrival due to the limited medical and health inspection facilities available.

3. Aircraft with weight in excess of 115,740 lbs. or a tire pressure in excess of 100 psi will not be permitted to land at (Suva) Nausori Airport.

4. Requests for aircraft servicing for all aircraft should be addressed to Air Terminal Services (Fiji) Ltd.,

P.O. Box 9507, Nadi Airport, Fiji (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AIRSERVE NADI/TELEX: FJ 5130 AIRSERVE) or to Air Pacific, Ltd., Nausori Airport, Fiji (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AIRPAC SUVA). One must have prior permission of Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation Authority for operations based in Fiji.
