AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Nonscheduled commercial aircraft, unless a bilateral agreement on air services signed between the Republic of Hungary and the State of Operator renders it otherwise, a prior authorization shall be obtained as follows:

a. If an operator intends to perform an individual or not more than three successive nonscheduled flights for commercial purposed to/from Hungarian aerodrome, it shall apply to Civil Aviation Inspectorate 7 working days prior to the planned departure.

b. If an operator intends to carry out an additional flight to one of the scheduled air services to/from Hungarian aerodromes, or to perform a change of type of the aircraft to a larger version for commercial reasons, the application should be received by the Civil Aviation Inspectorate at least 48 hours prior to the planned flight.

c. The applicant for series of more than three nonscheduled flights for commercial purposes landing at Hungarian Aerodromes should be received by the Civil Aviation Inspectorate at least 14 days before the first intended landing.

d. All requests to fly into Hungary shall be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary through diplomatic channels, using the form to the Decree.

2. All applications must include:

a. Name and address of aircraft owner and operator;

b. Nationality, type and registration marks of aircraft;

c. Name and nationality of pilot-in-command (private flights shall include name, nationality, date and place of birth, passport number and permanent address of all persons on board);

d. Date and route of flight;

e. Names of airports of departures and arrivals and intermediate points of landing;

f. Border crossing points and times of departure/arrival of border crossing;

g. Proof of valid insurance covering liability to third parties on the ground; and

h. Purpose of flight, number of passengers and/or amount of cargo.

6. For a series of three or more nonscheduled commercial flights, landing for commercial purposes, permission must be obtained from the Civil Aviation Authority at least 30 days prior to the first intended landing. Application must include the information requested above and also name and address of charterer and a copy of the charter agreement.
