PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Required

VISA: Required. Visa applications include information about applicant's religion.

HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Disembarking passengers coming from epidemic zones may be required to produce appropriate and valid certificates of inoculation. Blood samples may be required of passengers arriving from malaria infected areas. On departure, no health formalities are required.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes must obtain permission from the Director General of Civil Aviation, P.O.Box 7547, Amman, Jordan (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR AMMAN/TELEX: CIVAIR JO 21325 AFTN: OJAMYAYX, JORDAN) at least 48 hours in advance of departure (2 days for private aircraft). Non-scheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission at least 3 days prior to departure.

2. All requests must include:

a. Name of aircraft operator;

b. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

c. Purpose of flight and if traffic rights are required;

d. Number of passengers and type and amount of cargo;

e. Route of flight;

f. Dates and times of arrival and departure; and

g. Name and address of charterer, if any.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

Flights to/from Israel, Iran, Zaire, and South Africa prohibited.

SPECIAL NOTICES

No aircraft are permitted to enter or depart Jordan from the West Border. Aircraft destined to or departing from Israel or Israeli occupied territory are not permitted to land or to overfly the territory of Jordan.
