PERSONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PASSPORT: Not required for U.S. citizens holding proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate, expired passport (if photograph still clearly resembles the bearer), U.S. naturalization certificate or a signed U.S. voter registration card. Aliens who are permanent U.S. residents must have their U.S. alien registration card to return to the U.S.

A drivers license will not suffice as identification.

VISA: Not required for up to 6 months.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior approval; however, a flight plan must be on file.

2. All nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Director of Civil Aviation, St. John's, Antigua Island (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AIRCIVIL ANTIGUA/TELEX: NONE) prior to departure. Requests must include all pertinent information concerning the flight.

SPECIAL NOTICES

1. All international traffic must clear customs at an international aerodrome of entry before proceeding with the flight.

2. Charter, commercial, and freight aircraft require 24 hour prior permission to land. Address to TELEX: 8227, CHIEFMIN TO.

3. The Turks and Caicos Islands shall be bounded by a terminal control area beginning at (22-34N 071-58W) clockwise direct (21-56N 071-10W) direct (21-22N 070-26W) direct (21-10N 070-40W) direct (20-57N 070-58W) direct (21-04N 071-23W) direct (21-48N 072-48W) direct point of beginning, from 1500 MSL up to and including FL060.

4. Control zones are situated at Providenciales (21-48N 072-18W) 10 NMR surface to 2500 AGL, Grand Turk (21-26N 071-08W) 10 NMR surface to 2500 AGL, and South Caicos (21-31N 071-32W) 10 NMR surface to 2500 AGL. Transition level shall be FL060. Transition altitude 5000 feet MSL. Aerodrome control service is provided at Providenciales 119.9 MHZ, at South Caicos 118.9 MHZ, and at Grand Turk 126.0 MHZ.

5. Approach control service within the terminal control area is provided by Grand Turk Approach Control Office 126.0MHZ. Hours of operation of Terminal Control Area and associated control zones on limited basis. Voice advisory systems due to training and controller availability. Airspace below 2500 MSL will automatically revert to uncontrolled airspace during hours Grand Turk Approach Control is not in operation.
