HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION: Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates are required for travelers arriving from infected areas. The U.S. Public Health Service reports that a malaria risk exists throughout the country, except for the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Aids testing is required for individuals requesting work and/or residence permits. The testing takes place upon arrival and U.S. tests are not accepted.

AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All private and nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior permission; however, a flight plan must be on file at least 2 hours prior to arrival (24 hours prior for flights into Dubai).

2. Nonscheduled commercial flights landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the appropriate authority at least 2 working days prior to arrival.

3. All requests must include:

a. Name and address of aircraft operator;

b. Type of aircraft and registration marks;

c. Dates and times of arrival and departure and airports to be used;

d. Duration of stay;

e. Place of embarkation/disembarkation abroad of passengers and cargo;

f. Number and nationality of passengers and type and amount of cargo;

g. Purpose of flight; and

h. Name, address and business of charterer, if any.

4. Permission for flights, when required, must be submitted, as applicable, to:
