AIRCRAFT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Nonscheduled commercial aircraft landing for commercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Ministry of Transportation, Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority, Sanaa, Republic of Yemen (TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: CIVILAIR SANAA/TELEX: 2334 CIVAIR YE/FAX 967-1-274-126) at least 5 days prior to departure.

2. All requests must include provision for prepaid reply.

3. All requests must include:

a. Name of aircraft operator;

b. Aircraft type, nationality and registration marks;

c. Date and time of arrival and departure from Sanaa as well as the estimated time of arrival and departure from Yemen's Flight Information Rules (FIR) boundary;

d. Purpose of flight;

e. Number of passengers and/or type and amount of cargo; and

f. Name, address and business of user aircraft.

4. Private aircraft, overflying or landing, must obtain prior permission from the Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority at least 5 days before the commencement of the flight.

a. Requests must include same information as for nonscheduled commercial and be by letter fully paid cable.

b. Technical stops require same information as for nonscheduled and noncommercial flights.

c. VIP and military flight applications must be submitted through diplomatic channels at least 30 days prior to arrival.

d. General aviation applications must be submitted prior to the flight as follows:

(1) Business: 72 hours;

(2) Aerial work (surveying, construction, etc.): 30 days; and

(3) Tourism: 30 days.

CORPORATE AIRCRAFT CONSTRAINTS

SPECIAL NOTICES

1. Aircraft destined to or departing from Israel will not be permitted to overfly or land in the Republic of Yemen.

2. The Republic of Yemen is a member of the Arab League and will honor any restrictions imposed upon air travel by that league.

3. All flights destined for Republic of Yemen aerodromes or overflying Republic of Yemen airspace must contact SANAA approach at least 10 minutes prior to penetrating Republic of Yemen airspace.
