  Great American Balloon Race June 11, 2010

For one evening in June, the skies above Central Kentucky are transformed to a colorful canvas, as hot air balloons lift off from the Junction City Airport. Nothing rivals the majestic beauty as these graceful giants leave the ground to take their place in the sky. The Great American Balloon Race has become a family event, one that parents and children look forward to each year! There's something for everyone to enjoy...brightly colored balloons filled with equal parts of hot air and wonder, lively music, airplane rides and much more! The Great American Balloon Race is held at Stuart Powell Field in Junction City, Kentucky.   1st European Women Hot Air Balloon Championship Alytus, Lithuania June 15- 20, 2010

Pre-European 1st Open Lithuanian Women Hot Air Balloon Championship was held in May Mazeikiai. Probably it was the first national women hot air balloon championship in the world!  9 women teams took part in it from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. After 3 flights sand 8 tasks as the champion and gold medal winner become Daiva Rakauskaite (LIT), silver medal have got Kristina Vevere (LAT) and bronze medal – Beata Choma (POL).   Freedom’s Call Military Tattoo -- June 25, 2010

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Korean War during the sixth annual Freedom's Call Military Tattoo. The event features live music, aircraft fly-overs and fireworks, and it takes place on the back field at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.   Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Licensed Women Pilots 1910-2010  June 22-25, 2010 

We want YOU to help us continue the tradition of women’s air racing in today’s aviation! Join us, in the spirit of Amelia Earhart, Louise Thaden, Bobbi Trout and many, many more. Enter Air Race Classic's thirty-fourth race and become a part of women's aviation history. Racers: Flight crews of two to four women pilots per airplane make up a team. Two licensed & current women pilots are the minimum. Additional crew members may be flown if they are women pilots with or without a medical or women student pilots. Race Schedule: Required events that occur before and after the race should be part of race planning. Start arrival deadline is June 19th. Departure from the Terminus is June 28th. Race days are June 22-25, 2010. Airplane: This handicap race is limited to STOCK and modified STOCK airplanes, certified in the normal or utility categories with normally aspirated engine's), rated for continuous maximum operation at full takeoff power.   EAA Airventure The Annual Oshkosh Event. July 26 - August 1, 2010

As you arrive, the number of people, size of the site and the rows and rows of magnificent aircraft are simply overwhelming. If you were to walk past ... not down ... each row of airplanes, you would cover 5.2 miles! Typically about 2,500 show aircraft participate at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, including homebuilts, antiques, classics, warbirds, ultralights and rotorcraft. Be sure you get a map, because even if you've been here before, the new site improvements in 2009 bring a new look to one of the world's great aviation events. You don't want to waste a minute while you're here. The first thing to look at is airplanes on the flight line. As an EAA member, you can inspect firsthand the craftsmanship and design advancements that come from the hands and minds of EAA members. If you're interested in a particular airplane chances are you'll find it in Oshkosh. The Chico Air Show The Chico Municipal Airport  September 24, 2010 Chico, CA  

Chico is the only city in northern California to host a Jet team in 2010. This is the place to be to see jets galore and more!! Highlighting this year’s Air Show will be a thrilling aerial performance by the nine jets of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Jet Team. Other performers include up and coming female pilot Melissa Pemberton, Kent Pietsch with the world’s smallest “carrier landing,” a jet powered car, Warbirds, a parachute team, military demonstrations, static displays and several flybys. Food vendors, souvenirs, a Kidzone full of fun for the kids, and the ever comfortable Flightline club with food by the Sons of Italy, all round out this weekend of great fun and entertainment.
