Over 300 Passengers Killed On A Saudi Arabian Airlines Lockheed L-1011

August 19, 1980, A Saudi Arabian Airlines Lockheed L-1011 experienced a fire in the cargo compartment about 5 minutes after takeoff. The Lockheed L-1011 returned to the airport and landed. It is alleged however, because the captain failed to prepare the cabin crew for immediate evacuation upon landing and his failure in not making a maximum stop landing upon landing the L-1011, everyone on board died due to smoke and fire.
