Wilbur Wright Flys 24 Miles In 38 Minutes
Simms Station, Ohio, October 5, 1905, The Wright brothers fly for 24 miles in 38 minutes, landing only when their Flyer III gas tank runs dry. The Flyer III was powered by a 15 horse powered engine. This was the Wright brothers first flight of more than a half hour. This flight renewed their confidence in mans ability to sustain flight. |
