FAA Has Second Thoughts On Age 60 Rule
 

July 12,  The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed a voluntary test program of voluntary airline pilots that would allow them to fly until age 62. This is in response to airline pilots complaining about the 60 age limit imposed by the FAA in 1959 and the National Institute On Aging. The Institute has recommended the FAA gather such medical and performance data that would either substantiate or not its claims on mandatory retirement.
