As the Agents continued down a trail on foot, they were able to observe several people and hear others running through the cane. As the Agents began pursuit of those in sight, they noticed many bundles of what appeared to be marijuana scattered along the trail. The subjects were able to escape, but left behind a total of 21 bundles of marijuana worth an estimated $634, 880. The Agents called for back-up and a subsequent search of the area revealed a 16-foot flat bottom boat.
