CESSNA CITATION CJ1 PROGRAM CONTINUES ON SCHEDULE

Wichita, Kansas, January 3, 2000 The recent roll out of the first Citation CJ1 (Model 525, serial number 360) confirms that the program is on schedule for certification by year-end and first customer deliveries in early 2000. "The certification of the Citation CJ1 has been a very straight-forward process," stated Phil Michel, Cessna Vice President of Marketing. "We have completed the analysis, submitted the data and received approval by the FAA for the 200 lb. gross weight increase. The remaining certification work consists of receiving a supplemental type certification for the new Pro Line 21 avionics system. The paperwork has been submitted and approval is expected very soon."

The approval of Pro Line 21 STC for the Citation CJ1 will mark the first corporate aviation application of the new Rockwell Collins avionics system. The new Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system features a standard configuration of state-of-the-art 8-inch by 10-inch liquid crystal primary and multi-function displays, complemented by liquid crystal display instrumentation for the co-pilot, Allied-Signal CNI-5000 radios, Collins RTA-800 Color Weather Radar, and a pedestal-mounted integral GPS FMS. A third 8-inch by 10-inch copilot display unit is available as an option.

The first Citation CJ1 is scheduled to enter demonstration service in February 2000, with the first customer delivery to follow in April 2000. To date, more than 350 Model 525s have been delivered, and have logged more than 285,000 flight hours.
