Lisbon, Portugal, February 22, 19943, a Pan American World Airways Boeing B-314 (flying boat) while flying a low level pattern, the flying boat made a descending turn to the left. The pilot miss judged his altitude as he made the descending turn the aircraft clipped the water casing the aircraft to crash. 24 of the 39 on board were killed. The flying boat was named the Yankee Cliiper.
