Boeing B-707 Broke Up After Being Caught In Up Drafts And Down Drafts

February 12, 1963, Miami, Florida, a Northwest Orient Airlines Boeing B-707 entered a squall line (group of thunderstorms) in which the aircraft encountered serve turbulence, up drafts and down drafts. The aircraft went into a high speed dive. While the pilots attempted to pull the aircraft out of the dive the aircraft exceeded excessive G-force and broke apart and crashed killing all 43 on board.
