Experimental Aircraft Association Takes Root At Curtiss-Wright
Field
January 26, 1953, Paul Poberezny Forms the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Mr. Poberezny is the president and there are 36 members. The planes that will be used by this group include aircraft that have been modified or built from scratch. Because these planes have been modified or built from scratch the aircraft must display an experimental placard where it can be seen in the cockpit. It was quite natural for this association to call them selves EAA. They will be based out of Curtiss-Wright Field in Milwaukee. |
