Rescued After Two Months In The Andes Mountains
On December 13, 1972 a TAMU Airlines Fairchild Hiller FH227 with 45 passengers went down in the Andes Mountains, near San Fernado, Chile. The survivors had to face death defining temperature and no food. Those that were rescued on December 22, 1972 reported they had to resorted to cannibalism in order to stay alive. Of the 45 on board this flight only 29 survived.
