A Varig Airlines B-707, Flight 810 Crashes
Killing Everyone On Board
On November 27, 1962 while on a go around due to overshooting the needle on an ILS approach, the Varig Airlines B-707 started his go-around when the aircraft slammed into La Cruz Peak, in Lima, Peru. All 97 on board were killed. It is believed that the crash was a result of the pilot misinterpreting his instruments. |
