Chapter 12 - Cross-Country Flying Chapter 12 - Cross-Country Flying

This chapter discusses the basic elements of cross-country flying, including various methods of air navigation - the art of flying the airplane from one point to another and determining its position along the route. It is not intended to explain in detail the intricacies of air navigation. For that information, the learning pilot is directed to the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, 61-23B, published by the FAA, or to suitable commercially published navigation books.
