“Cancer affects all of us in some way, often with devastating personal impact on friends, family and our colleagues in the work place. I am very proud of my colleagues at United, our customers and suppliers, who contribute their time to raising awareness and financial support,” Tilton said. “Sponsoring efforts in cancer prevention, early detection and patient services efforts with the American Cancer Society works to the very best advantage of all. On behalf of United, I am pleased to be recognized for our ongoing support of the American Cancer Society’s life-saving mission.” To rally other CEOs, Tilton has served as chair of the Illinois Chapter of the American Cancer Society CEOs Against Cancer and co-chair of the group’s national meeting. CEOs Against Cancer is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and CEOs working to prevent, detect and reduce the devastating effects and costs of cancer through education and workplace health initiatives, and patient services for employees and their dependents. |
