pilots have begun using the Apple iPad Electronic Flight
Bag (EFB) with the Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck
CitationAir received FAA approval to use the device and
is currently beta-testing it prior to a full
distribution to all pilots. CitationAir is one of the
first private aviation companies to use the iPad EFB.
With the Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck application, CitationAir pilots will use the iPad instead of traditional paper charts for in-flight display of approach plates, flight planning, load manifests and trip itineraries, among other things.
